Drawing a Rubber Duck
Step 1:
In this first stage of our guide on how to draw a rubber duck, let’s take it from above, literally! This first step will see that you will draw the head of the rubber duck. Perhaps the most delicate part of this drawing is the beak because ducks have a very specific and complex drawing for their nozzles.
When drawing the nozzle, follow the reference image as closely as possible to represent the details. You can also simplify the nozzle a little if it has problems! Then use curved lines for the rounded head of the duck and end with oval shapes for the eye. Then we will go to step 2!
Step 2:
To continue this rubber duck drawing, we will add the front of the neck and chest. Rubber ducks tend to have a wavy shape, which will be apparent when you look at our image from the image. The line will extend below the nozzle and go down very curvedly. After adding this section, it is time for step 3.
Step 3:
Now let’s add the pointed ducktail and the wings contour to this third stage of our guide on how to draw a rubber duck. The duck’s tail will be relatively large and sharp, extending on the round back and the base of the rubber duck.
They will be designed to create the appearance of the duck’s wing plume end. It is all this for this step; Therefore, when you are satisfied with the appearance, we will continue to add to this duck in the fourth step.
Step 4:
We added the wing contour of this rubber duck drawing to the previous step, and in it, we will add some interior details. The internal contour of the wing will be designed with more curved lines, as shown in the reference image.
Then, you can add smaller curved lines from each other for additional feather details. These details of the feathers will plunge mainly into the wing, but we will add more with some final keys to the next step.
Step 5:
All contours have been completed, and in this fifth stage of our guide on how to draw a rubber duck, we will focus on adding lower details. We added some simple curved lines all over the body and head of the rubber duck to create texture details. Then, on the wings, we add a mass of smaller rounded lines to create a Plume use texture.
These are the latest details we have chosen for this image, but there are many others you can add! You can opt for a typical structure like floating in a bathtub, but there are other fun settings you can make! Is it your chance to have fun being creative when you will make this beautiful image?
Step 6:
Traditionally, rubber ducks reach bright yellow shades with vibrant orange to the beak. It is what we went to our reference image for this rubber duck drawing. For the body and head of the duck, we use various shades of bright gems. By incorporating lighter shades and white reflections, you can create a brighter texture for the duck.
Although this is the traditional appearance of a rubber duck, they can also come in all the other colors you can imagine! When you finish this image, you have a lot of freedom with the way you can color it. Be creative with your favorite colors and art media, and see what is happening!
