There are many different bird species in our world. Some are irregular, and you are dubious about seeing them in your routine life. Others may be so typical that they could be taken for given. The Mansa Pigeon is a bird that many of us see every day, and although we don’t pay much attention to them, they are quite beautiful birds.

For that reason, it can be a fun time to sit down and learn to draw. This is the guide you should mind if you want to know how to do it. We hope you have a great time working with us on this guide on how to draw a pigeon!

How to Draw a Pigeon – let’s get Initiated!

    Step 1

To start this guide on how to draw a dove, we will begin with the bird’s head and neck. First, let’s start with the director. We will remove it with curved and rounded lines to create the outline. You can then use some better straight lines for the dove’s visor.

The beak choice also has a small round form at the top. Once you’ve drawn the head, you can extend some more curved lines down for the shape of the neck and back and then add a stripe to the channel. You are ready to continue when you have replicated the lines in this step. Step 2!

    Step 2

We will add a few more details to your pigeon drawing in this dual step. First, you can begin by drawing a small loop for the dove’s eye. You can add a small dot to that circle for the eye’s pupil.

We will very carefully remove the legs of the dove, and these will have a portion of feathers on top. This step will be finished with more curved lines for the rear leading up to the tail.

    Step 3

Doves wouldn’t get very far without wings, so let’s draw one in this step of our guide on how to draw a dove. The attachment will be marked with a long, slightly curved line within the body’s outline.

Once you have the shape of the wing, you can make it look more realistic by adding some smaller curved lines for the feather details. That’s it for now. Let’s keep adding some details and elements in the next steps.

    Step 4

In this part of your dove drawing, you will see that you added more feather details to the dove’s wing. To do this, we’ll add more of those smaller curved lines you said in the previous step, but they’ll have a bit of a shape. Different from those. That will finish up the wing details, and in the next step, we’ll add some final details and elements to finish off before coloring your pigeon!

    Step 5

It’s almost time to color your image, but first, we have some final details to add to this step of our guide on how to draw a dove. First, let’s start by ending the outline of the dove’s body by topping the line at the base of the dove. You can then draw another area of tail feathers extending from the back of the tail.

Once you’ve added that, you can wrap up some final facts before continuing. The last details we have in this guide are some lines along the legs and feet of the pigeon to get some texture details. That will wrap up the details of this guide, but you don’t have to stop there! You can finish this step by adding some details and elements of your own, and there are plenty of ideas you could follow.

Some ideas might be to draw a few more pigeons or even draw yourself, giving the pigeon breadcrumbs. These are just a few ideas you can choose from, but what else can you think of to complete the drawing?

    Step 6

Pigeons are known to have a better-muted color scheme, and that’s what we’re pushing for in our example image. Even if you go for these filmier grays and blues, there exist ways to merge brighter colors into your pigeon drawing! If you drew more details or elements, that could be a superb way to add better color.

Coloring any background details you’ve drawn would also work great for that. You can also wear a fancier look and use your favorite bright colors for the dove! Then you, too, can have fun trying various artistic mediums to bring the colors to life. You can use fiery colors like acrylics and shaded pencils or keep it flimsier with watercolors and colored pencils.
